CAIRO, Nov 25 (Aswat Masriya) One conscript was injured earlier when unknown assailants on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade on a checkpoint near Egypt's presidential palace in Heliopolis on Monday.

A police team has started investigations into the incident, reported the state news agency MENA.

Attacks of this kind have increased since the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi in July, especially in the lawless Sinai Peninsula.
