Say Western Meets or Beat Expectations

Western Seminary San Jose Campus is located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. This Silicon Valley location is the second most innovative region in America -- a bustling urban center known for technological innovation, where companies such as Facebook, Google, eBay, Yahoo, and thousands more call home. Specifically, you’ll find this campus in the San Jose area, within the city of Santa Clara.

Our community of students is highly diverse in both ethnicity and ministry aims, and they are active in careers. Our focus on accessible training options ensures that we’re well suited to train this kind of student, offering flexible on-campus scheduling and a great number of online courses through Western Seminary Online campus. And small class sizes ensure that students enjoy personal attention from caring and experienced professors who care deeply for their spiritual formation and ministry impact.

This campus has served students in Northern California since 1985, when it was founded on the grounds of Calvary Church Los Gatos. It moved to its current site in a modern Santa Clara business park in 2010, located just four miles west of Highway 101 and less than a mile from the San Jose International Airport.

San Jose Campus Facilities

The San Jose Campus is modern, compact and well-equipped. It offers classrooms, staff and faculty offices, a student lounge, conference rooms, as well as a library.

This and all other Western Seminary campuses are non-residential, as we serve part-time and full-time students who wish to engage in seminary training without relocating.

Western was a great experience for me. It took me five years to complete my M.Div. and the flexibility offered made it possible for me to love my family, work, and still complete the education that has become a vital part of current ministry. The church we started has already started to send students to Western. It's an education worth repeating.
