CAIRO, Nov 30 (Aswat Masriya) The 50-member assembly amending Egypt’s suspended constitution began its final vote on articles on Saturday and is expected to finish by Monday.
Headed by Amr Moussa, the assembly will vote on each article separately over several public sessions.
Egyptians will vote on the draft charter in the second half of January.
The assembly was formed in September to amend a constitution written and passed by an Islamist-led assembly at the end of last year under the Mursi administration.
Egypt’s army ousted Mursi in July in response to mass demonstrations across the country, suspended the constitution and announced early presidential elections.
