A Sahwa leader was killed and his son and driver were seriously wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting their vehicle blew up in central al-Madaen, the Iraqi police in al-Madaen district said Wednesday (December 11th).
"An IED targeted Suhaib Hussein, a leader of al-Madaen Sahwa forces, killing him and wounding his son and driver," deputy al-Madaen police chief Col. Maarouf Abdullah told Al-Shorfa.
The police arrested three suspects following the attack, he said.
