BAGHDAD / NINA / Serbian coach Vladimir Petrovic has arrived in Baghdad this morning 6, March to sign the formal contract with the Iraqi Football Association to take charge of the national team for a period of one year subject to renewal.
Petrovic's business manager, Najim Abd Mohammed told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The details of the contract would be discussed in a joint session with IFA before the formal signing of the contract."
He said: "A press conference is expected to take place in Baghdad after the return of the IFA's president from Jordan, where he is attending a meeting of the heads of federations of West Asia."
He added: "Petrovic will discuss with the IFA the selection of the players and the training staff assistants," expressing Petrovic's readiness to stay in Baghdad and watch Iraqi Premier League matches.
It is noteworthy that Petrovic played with Yugoslavian team participated in the World Cup of 1974 and 1982 as well as training the Kuwait Olympic team and the Chinese national team and his participation in 34 international matches with Yugoslavia. / End
