European Investment Bank (EIB)

Set up by the EU to provide investment loans and grants. Member States are the shareholders and its Board of Governors is composed of the Finance Ministers of these States. The EIB has a financial arm especially for the ENPI South, the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment Partnership (FEMIP). The Bank is also active in the ENPI East, where the mandates governing its activity have broadened in size and scope since 2001 and framework agreements have been concluded with individual countries.
