Looking for that special photo showing activity on the ground? Visit the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre photo database

EU-funded projects are always looking for high quality and lively photos to make their activity more interesting and colourful, illustrating websites, a newsletter, a publication, poster, give-away bookmark, or even a power-point presentation. This need is what the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre photo project responds to.

The Info Centre has created a comprehensive photo database with free to use photos showing activity on the ground and real people who are benefitting from EU cooperation with your country. Photos are being uploaded regularly.

The Info Centre photos are taken by professional photographers in the Neighbourhood partner countries and are free to use so long as copyright (EU/Info Centre + photographer – as indicated in captions) is respected.

This year, the Ifo Centre also launched a photo competition for projects. Find out who the winners of the “Put your project in the headline” competition are, and be ready, there will be another edition.

The photos on our website can be searched by country or by theme:

Photos south: http://www.enpi-info.eu/list_galleries_med.php

The Info Centre has also created an EU Visibility gallery, a series of photos that include general visibility elements, like the EU flag:

Using the photos from the projects, the Info Centre has produced photo stories, as well as post cards and posters, all of which are available online. Our postcards: http://www.flickr.com/photos/82918635@N08/sets/72157633160316903/

Last but not least, the Info Centre has put together A Photographer’s Handbookto help projects understand the importance of high quality photos and what they should be looking for. The handbook includes an extremely useful checklist!

Photos speak more than 1000 words, says the Chinese proverb and that is true. Since we have produced them, use them!
