   Potable water plant modernization project

DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Dec. 23, 2013) - Personnel aboard U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia broke ground to mark the beginning of construction of a potable water plant modernization project during a ceremony held in the Cantonment area. The 9,506 sq. foot single-story water facility, estimated for completion July 30, 2015, will be capable of producing more than 1.2 million gallons of drinkable water per day.
