Local 76 Going Pink to Fight Breast Cancer

SOMERVILLE FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL 76 HAS GONE PINK TO SUPPORT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

It's more than a piece of clothing, it's a statement that we won't stand for the tragic toll that breast cancer takes on people's lives. Few sights grab the publics eye like a firefighter dressed in bright pink. Local 76 along with the PFFM and our IAFF brothers and sisters all across the United States and Canada are suiting up in pink to fight breast cancer. One of the many ways firefighters show support for the fight against breast cancer. Pink work t-shirts are being sold by Local 76 in an effort to raise money and awareness about breast cancer. Shirts are $25 and all proceeds will be donated to the Dana Farber Center in the name of a SFD Lt's wife who is currently being treated there for this horrible disease. Contact your station steward or Jim Piwinski to purchase one.
