So, Wednesday night….

1) Via Michael Lee, “Hyattsville native and former Georgetown star Jeff Green had his best game as a pro at Verizon Center, scoring a game-high 39 points by hitting an assortment of ridiculous shots, including a one-legged fadeaway three-pointer that tied the game late in regulation.”

2) Via Mass Live, “[Green] Jimmered his way through the entire game, taking and making nearly impossible shots, including a one-legged 3-pointer that sent the game to overtime. He missed a 3 with a couple seconds left that would have but the Celtics ahead. But after Nene missed a buzzer-beater, Green scored five straight points to begin overtime, giving him 39 points and nine rebounds for the night.”

3) Back to Lee: “With former Bullets legends Elvin Hayes, Bobby Dandridge and Bernard King in attendance, the Wizards again squandered an opportunity to go above .500 in January for the first time in six years, falling to Boston in overtime, 113-111.”

4) Via the Celtics: “It was great, in front of my family and friends,” Green said. “I mean, I couldn’t have scripted it better.”

So to repeat all that, former local high school and college star has a career day in his hometown, while dealing the hometown team a crushing loss, in front of three legends who represent the best years in that franchise’s painful history.

AND THEN JEFF GREEN DID HIS POSTGAME INTEVIEWS WHILE WEARING A BALTIMORE BULLETS HAT.

That’s cold, man. Like, polar vortex cold.

The hat in question appears to come from the JUST DON collection, featuring a Mitchell & Ness hat, a python brim, and “super supple leather” on the under bill. You can find it here.

Thanks to Adam for noticing.
