CAIRO, Jan 26 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian authorities arrested 11 Muslim Brotherhood members on Sunday in clashes that erupted in Giza, the interior ministry said.

In a statement late on Sunday, the ministry said that about 500 Brotherhood members had gathered in Giza’s Haram neighborhood and threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at security forces and residents.

The statement added that one of the Molotov cocktails hit a bus, causing it minor damages, but the fire was put down.

It added that the police dispersed the protesters with teargas and chased them in side roads, arresting 11 of them for carrying weapons.

The ministry warned Egyptians of “irresponsible behavior” that threatens people’s safety or buildings.

Four bombs exploded on Friday, killing six people while clashes killed 15 others and 49 people were killed and over 1,000 were arrested on Saturday.
