Prior to joining Atlantic Media, Bruce was Chief Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission, where he was responsible for managing the agency’s overall policy agenda. Before attending law school, he was a staff writer for Slate, where he originated the Explainer column; he has written for publications including The Atlantic, The New York Times Magazine, and The New Republic. Bruce is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.

Tim is the editor-in-chief of National Journal. Before joining Atlantic Media in 2013, Grieve served on the senior leadership team at Politico, editing the site’s Congressional coverage, overseeing its platforms and launching and running Politico Pro. A graduate of Stanford University and the Georgetown University Law Center, Grieve worked as a reporter at The Sacramento Bee and as a senior writer at Salon; clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit; and practiced law in California.

Charles Green

Charles Green has been the editor of National Journal since 1999. He joined the magazine in 1997 as deputy editor, after 17 years at the Knight Ridder Washington Bureau. At Knight Ridder he covered Congress, the White House, politics, and social issues before becoming a news editor and coordinating the bureau’s coverage of the 1996 presidential election. Early in his career, Charles worked as a reporter and an editor at the Hagerstown Morning Herald and as a reporter at States News Service. Charles is a graduate of the University of Maryland and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 1992, for a series he wrote on Medicaid.

Poppy is the Chief Revenue Officer for National Journal Group. She is responsible for the business development and growth strategy of National Journal and leads National Journal Membership. She joined the organization as Vice President in 2011 to develop and launch the membership program. Today, Poppy leads a team of 40 staff who are dedicated to serving a growing membership comprised of over 750 of the nation’s leading public policy organizations. Prior to joining National Journal Group, she was the Executive Director of Business Development at Politico Pro.

Jessica joined Atlantic Media in March 2012 and leads digital planning and development for National Journal Group. Jessica previously was VP of digital operations at Condé Nast, overseeing website and mobile development for more than 20 properties. Prior roles included business development lead at Yahoo! Finance and SVP of marketing and business development at The Wall Street Journal Online. At Dow Jones, she established some of the company’s first online content initiatives as well as its internet licensing operations.
