A Springfield, Va. native, James Wagner grew up across the world, from Venezuela to Belgium to the Philippines, thanks to his father’s work. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Virginia, and has since worked at the Los Angeles Times, San Gabriel Valley (Calif.) Tribune and Washington Post. Wagner joined the Post in August 2010 and, pror to covering the Nationals, covered high school sports across the region.
Span looks to build on finish
Entering the final guaranteed season of his contract with the Nationals, Denard Span says he would like to remain in Washington.
Four pitchers face competition for spots
