Sponsored Research

The Office of Sponsored Programs strives to be true to its mission of providing outstanding service to the faculty and staff in their pursuit and administration of external funding. The office provides full service throughout the lifecycle of a project, from preliminary budget review to award closeout.

Licensing

Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties' goal is to pursue innovative strategies to help translate scientific progress into tangible products, while returning income to the inventor and Virginia Tech to support further research and education.

Research Compliance

The Office of Research Compliance provides professional administrative and support staff to oversee university community compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines associated with research and teaching at Virginia Tech.

Export and Secure Research Compliance

The Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance (OESRC) supports Virginia Tech's commitment to complying with U.S. laws and regulations applicable to export and trade sanctions.

Scholar of the Week

The Office of the Vice President for Research recognizes Craig Woolsey, an associate professor of aerospace and ocean engineering in the College of Engineering, for expertise in autonomous vehicles and for helping lead the university’s effort to obtain a Federal Aviation Administration-approved test site for unmanned aerial vehicles.
