The RSA hosts one of the UK’s leading public events programmes, delivering over 150 free lectures, talks, screenings and debates a year. Our events are free and open to the public, thanks to the support of our Fellows. These events provide a platform for some of the world’s leading thinkers, expert minds, and inspirational practitioners, and encourage intelligent public debate of some of today’s most pressing social challenges. Our aim is to translate new ideas and critical debate into practical change; and to inspire our audiences, from the local to the global, to be a force for civic innovation and social progress.  Our events promote new ways of thinking about human fulfilment, capability and progress, and address key contemporary issues from the fields of education, science, psychology, technology and the environment, design and the arts, economics, politics and international affairs.

You can experience our events in person at the RSA House, through live audio-streaming and live video-streaming over the web, or watch or listen at your convenience, using free video and audio downloads.

RSA Bookshop

RSA Bookshop, is our online bookshop facility, in partnership with the UK's leading academic bookseller Blackwell. This venture combines the RSA's leadership in cutting-edge ideas and debate with Blackwell's international reputation for bookselling excellence, to offer Fellows and guests an affordable and convenient opportunity to purchase books and to explore our speakers' ideas in greater detail.



Blackwell is the leading academic bookseller in the UK with over 60 outlets across England, Scotland and Wales. It has built an international reputation for bookselling excellence with links to academic institutions and libraries around the globe and has continued to expand its UK base on high streets and in university campuses up and down the country.
