Baghdad (NINA) –The manual recount process for the voting documents in Baghdad province will start on next Monday. The authorized judicial body had decided to return the count of votes manually in 11000 polling stations within Baghdad province. The Independent High Electoral commission had announced that the Special voting documents as well as the voting abroad documents related to Baghda province will be recounted manually and would be included by the final announcement of the results.
It added that “The Rasheed Hotel will be the location for the manual recount process on two shafts; the first to start from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m, while the second shaft will start from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m.”
Concerning the insertion of the data which will start a day after beginning of the recount prcess, IHEC mentioned that “The documents will be transferred to specified centres according to former measures in addition to more extra strict measures,” noting that “The procedures will include five steps rather than four as before.”
Expectation show that the recounr process will last from two to three weeks.
IHEC invited the European Union, UN and the Arab League to observe this process. /End/
