Mayor's video takes his message directly to LAPD officers

Mayor Eric Garcetti has been going back and forth with the Police Protective League about access to rank-and-file officers to make his direct case for a new contract that the union rejected. Advantage Garcetti: He posted a message to the officers on YouTube this morning. "Garcetti addresses officers of the Los Angeles Police Department regarding the reinstatement of overtime pay and the elimination of the pay gap between new and previous hires," his office puts it.
