17 convicted terrorism-related crimes, membership in Kingdom’s most violent cell

A specialized court in Riyadh today convicted 17 defendants of terrorism-related crimes and sentenced them to between thirty months and 26 years in prison. The defendant were convicted of membership in one of the Kingdom’s most violent terrorist cell, joining terrorist-led fighting abroad, terror financing, weapons offenses, forgery, and rendering assistance to wanted terrorists. The defendants have thirty days to appeal their convictions.
