School of Global Affairs and Public Policy
The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) prepares its graduates to take the lead in shaping the future of their nations and the world at large, with a strong belief in the interaction of international and public affairs, an unwavering commitment to ethics and the rule of law, and a recognition of the unique role that the media play in shaping public policy.
GAPP consists of three academic departments in law, public policy and administration, and journalism and mass communication, in addition to five research centers including the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies (CMRS), the Cynthia Nelson Institute for Gender and Women Studies (IGWS), the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism, Middle East Studies Program (MESC), Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research, and the Executive Education unit. All these programs offer students unique opportunities to develop a comprehensive overview of the strategic issues that are of great concern to world citizens today.

Dean Nabil Fahmy resumes his position in GAPP
The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy welcomes back its founding dean, Nabil Fahmy, who is returning after serving as the minister of foreign affairs in the interim Egyptian government from July 2013 to July 2014.
