Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb issued Tuesday a decision to form a committee to draft a law allocating election districts in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The committee will not take effect until the committee for the new border divisions of governorates finishes its work, reported state-owned Al-Ahram.

The committee is to be headed by the Minister of Transitional Justice Ibrahim El-Henaidi, and the House of Representatives. It will consist of: the advisor to the prime minister for security affairs and elections; assistant to the minister of justice for legislative affairs; assistant interior minister for legal affairs; professor of constitutional law at the Faculty of Law in Ain Shams University, Ali Abdel Aal; and Professor of Public Law in Mansoura University, Salah al-Din Fawzi

The law that will be in accordance with proposals, the constitution and parliament law, is set to be a final one.

The parliamentary elections are the third step in Egypt’s roadmap following issuing the constitution and presidential elections

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi had announced the roadmap in July following the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.
