Salt Lake City unveiled its GREENbike bicycle-sharing program Monday. Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, left, talks with Salt Lake City Council members Stan Penfold and Carlton Christensen during the launch event. The program is a partnership between Salt Lake City, the Downtown Alliance, the Salt Lake Chamber and SelectHealth.

One hundred three-speed bicycles at 10 stations scattered around the downtown area will allow short-term rentals of the bikes. A three-tiered rental schedule allows unlimited trips of 30 minutes or less at $5 for 24 hours, $15 for a week and $75 for an annual membership.
