The Ducks haven't lost since, with Frederik Andersen winning five straight starts for the two-time defending Pacific Division champions. Gibson got a brief assignment to the AHL to keep his game sharpness. The 21-year-old American is considered one of the top goaltending prospects in hockey after briefly playing with the Ducks last season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed goaltender Curtis McElhinney on injured reserve and added Forsberg to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Analysis: The 21-year-old Forsberg, the Blue Jackets' sixth pick in the 2011 draft, is 1-2-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in three games with Springfield this season. He is 4-2-0 with a 1.69 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in seven career AHL games since making his North American professional debut with the Falcons late in the 2013-14 season.

Andersen earned his first career shutout Sunday night, stopping 28 shots in Anaheim's 3-0 win over St. Louis.

Analysis: Since taking over the starting goaltender duties from John Gibson, who allowed six goals in the Ducks' season opener, Andersen has been lights out. Sunday marked his fifth consecutive victory, and his 1.38 goals against average ranks second among goalies with at least four starts.

Analysis: The league says he was arrested Monday morning but isn't providing other details. He will be paid during the investigation. The NHL's collective bargaining agreement allows it to suspend players during a criminal investigation "where the failure to suspend the player during this period would create a substantial risk of material harm to the legitimate interests and/or reputation of the league."
