Mollie Hemingway
Mollie Ziegler Hemingway is senior editor at The Federalist, a website about politics and culture. Prior to that she was morning editor at Ricochet.com (a conversation site) and managing editor of GetReligion.org, which analyzes how the mainstream media covers religion. She is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal's "Houses of Worship" column and to Christianity Today where she wrote the column "Throwing Inkwells" from 2009 to 2011.
She has written widely, including contributions to CNN, the Guardian, The Atlantic.com, USA Today, and the Los Angeles Times. In addition, she's appeared on Fox News and on The New York Times' BloggingHeads.TV web program. She is a 2014 recipient of the Claremont Institute's Lincoln Fellowship. In 2004, she was awarded a Phillips Foundation Fellowship to analyze the changing nature of American civil religion. Prior to becoming a religion journalist full-time, she was a reporter for Federal Times covering issues related to government waste and federal workers.
She is originally from Castle Rock, Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in economics.
She is married to journalist Mark Hemingway, and they have two children Evangeline and Linden, ages six and four. They attend Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
