Condé Nast International will be hosting a hackathon, taking place over the weekend of November 22^nd and 23^rd in London, it was announced today. 

This is a unique opportunity for creative technology professionals to impact the future of the publishing industry. During a 36 hour hackathon participants will have the chance to collaborate with Condé Nast International’s top technology talent to develop innovative products for the multi-media publishing world. 

Members of the Condé Nast International digital teams from countries including France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK will be participating in the hackathon.  The Condé Nast International judges are announced as Shazad Awan, Chief Technology Officer- E-Commerce; Franck Zayan, President of E-Commerce; Wil Harris, Head of Digital at Condé Nast Britain; Sarah Herz, Head of Digital at Condé Nast France; Malcolm Simms, Chief Technology Officer; and Thomas Bucaille, Director of Talent.

To celebrate the magazine’s 15th anniversary in Japan, the November 2014 edition of Vogue Japan was photographed and guest-edited by influential photographer Mario Testino. Gracing the cover is world-renowned model Miranda Kerr, who appeared in the special six-page cover spread dressed in an array of spectacular attire in the style of geisha, samurai and manga; representative of Japanese culture.

To mark this issue, Vogue Japan hosted a cocktail party in honour of Mario Testino, held at the Intersect by Lexus venue in Tokyo.

Vogue China was the first fashion title in the world to style the Apple Watch on its cover. The November 2014 issue feature of model Liu Wen wearing the device in an iconic moment when fashion meets tech.

Chinese supermodel Liu Wen models the 38mm Apple Watch Edition in 18-carat yellow gold, with a bright red modern buckle, styled by Karl Templer in a striped ensemble by Céline, and photographed by long time Vogue collaborator David Sims.

In September 2014, Vogue Italia celebrated its 50^th Anniversary by opening the doors to its archive for the very first time. The launch of the exhibition, Vogue Archive: Celebrating the Fiftieth Anniversary of Fashion, was held in Milan’s Piazza Castello. The guest list for this inaugural evening included many of the world’s most acclaimed designers, models and fashion photographers, all of whom have contributed to the pages of Vogue Italia for the past 50 years.

The exhibition was then open to the public, with private and guided tours on reservation. The anniversary exhibition also coincided with the launch of www.voguearchive.it, a digital archive containing Vogue Italia’s entire historical catalogue – an opportunity to become completely immersed in the visionary world of Vogue Italia. 

The debut issue of GQ Thailand has launched, with the GQ website also going live. GQ Thailand is the 20th edition of GQ worldwide.

The September issue launch cover is a triple fold, featuring 6 celebrities who are leaders in the Thai music and film industries.

The main cover stars Hugo, an international singer who was recently signed by Jay-Z; Thai hiphop singer Joey Boy, who co-produced a song with will.i.am; and Tiradej Wongpuapan, one of Thailand’s most popular actors.

The middle section features Thai filmmaker and screenwriter Banjong Pisanthanakun, who co-wrote the hit 2004 horror film Shutter, currently optioned for a Hollywood remake; and actor Ray MacDonald who won Best Actor at the Thailand National Film Association Awards for his role in Fun Bar Karaoke.

The third section of the cover features teen actor Thanapob Leeratanakajorn; Nirut Sirijanya, an iconic figure in the Thai film industry, who starred in The Hangover 2 as well as being on the judging panel of Thailand’s Got Talent in 2011, and Niwklom Munint, a leading author.

To celebrate the 11^th anniversary of Vogue Café Moscow, Gary Robinson, Director of Condé Nast International Restaurants hosted a special guest chef appearance. From 17^th-21^st June 2014, diners at the Vogue Café sampled dishes such as hazelnut-crusted scallops with foie gras, and candied root vegetable with a peanut nougat slice.
