The Black Keys are an American rock duo founded by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney in Akron, Ohio some 13 years ago. They released their debut album The Big Come Up in 2002, but it was their 2004 albumRubber Factory which boosted their profile and help them build an underground fan base. After a string of self-produced albums, their commercial breakthrough came in 2010 with Brothers, which won them three Grammy awards. They followed that up with El Camino, which earned them further acclaim and won them another three Grammy Awards. Their eighth album Turn Blue, released earlier this year, hit #1 in the US and Australia.

Bruce Springsteen's recording career spans more than forty years, beginning with 1973's Columbia Records release 'Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ.' He has released eighteen studio albums, garnered twenty Grammy Awards, won an Oscar, has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was a 2009 recipient of Kennedy Center Honors and was named 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year by The Recording Academy. Described by Grohl as a love letter to the history of American music, FOO FIGHTERS: SONIC HIGHWAYS captures the band tapping into the musical heritage and history of each location, and features appearances from local legends who define the musical identity of those cities. For the album and series, Grohl and bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, along with producer Butch Vig, based themselves at a legendary studio integral to the unique history and character of each location.
