If you want your next braided bun to look a little extra adorable, then you're going to want to stop multitasking and focus here, because hairstylist Kylee Heath shared with us exactly how to get the cute one Rashida Jones wore to Disney's Big Hero 6 premiere last night. And it is...drumroll, please...starting with the perfect ponytail, which apparently means "pulling it up in sections." Read on to find out exactly how to do that:
Heath says, "Starting on damp hair, I sprayed Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion from the roots to the midshaft and Serge Normant Meta Lush Volumizer from the midshaft through the ends. I rough-dried Rashida's hair and then polished the ends and bangs with a round brush.
"Once the hair was dry, I sectioned off the front near the top of one ear to the other. Using a fine-tooth comb and a light spray of R+Co Outer Space Hairspray, I pulled the hair up into a ponytail at the top of the section. I then pulled the front section back and sprayed with more R+Co, adding it to the ponytail, leaving only the bangs out.
"I then broke the pony into five sections, braiding three and lightly teasing two. I wrapped each section around the base of the ponytail and pinned them into place, creating a braided messy topknot.
"Once the hair was up, I round-brushed the bangs to fall to one side. I sprayed the bangs and bun with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple for added hold and shine."
