Being an Iskolar ng Bayan

UP students are often referred to as mga Iskolar ng Bayan or scholars of the people. This takes root in the university’s origins as a university conceived for the Filipino and funded by the nation.

As scholars of the people, UP students are not only expected to perform well in their studies but also entertain a myriad of interests which would enhance their knowledge, broaden their horizons and prepare them better for their eventual service to the country.

Student life at the university is manageable when one has the necessary information. Whether academic or extra-curricular, knowing where to go, what to do, and when to do it is necessary in being a well-rounded UP student.

Events

The academic year experience in UP could vary depending on the local socio-cultural environment of the campus. Each campus has its own share of local festivities where UP students take part and showcase their artistic, athletic and academic interests.

Enrich your UP experience by attending lectures on various issues and topics, viewing exhibits, watching plays and movies, going to concerts, or cheering on the varsity teams. Look at upcoming events and pencil it in.

Online Registration

Enrollment in UP has been made easier with the Computerized Registration System. With the CRS, a student can view which courses are available on a given term and a schedule which best fits the chosen preference. Each UP campus has its own CRS, allowing each Iskolar from the campuses the convenience of enrolling easier and faster.

Find out if the courses you need are available and work out your class schedule by visiting the Computerized Registration System section.
