The Montreal Canadiens and Galchenyuk have agreed to terms on a two-year contract. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed Thursday.

Analysis: Galchenyuk had career highs with 20 goals, 26 assists and 46 points last season. The 21-year-old Wisconsin native has 42 goals and 62 assists in 193 regular-season games and four goals and six assists in 22 playoff games.

The Flyers and Voracek have agreed to a multiyear contract extension.

Analysis: The 25-year-old Voracek had 22 goals and career highs of 59 assists and 81 points last season.

Zubrus was placed on unconditional waivers by the Devils on Wednesday with the intention of ending his contract.

Analysis: The 37-year-old Zubrus played for the Devils the last eight seasons and was slated to earn $3.1 million this season in the final year of a three-year, $9.3 million deal. The Lithuanian had 10 points in 74 games last season.
7/28/2015 Brooks Orpik, Was, D
Orpik underwent wrist surgery Tuesday, according to a statement from the team. The Capitals said he will resume full workout activities in two weeks. They anticipate Orpik returning to full hockey activities in time for the season opener.

Analysis: The 34-year-old was signed by the Capitals as a free agent last year and totaled 19 assists and 66 penalty minutes last season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Marner to a three-year entry-level contract. The 18-year-old Marner was selected fourth overall by the Maple Leafs in the draft.

Analysis: Marner finished second in Ontario Hockey League scoring last season with 126 points (44 goals, 82 assists) in 63 regular-season games with the London Knights. He added 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in seven playoff games.

The Buffalo Sabres have signed newly drafted defenseman Brendan Guhle to a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal was announced Monday, a little over a month after Buffalo drafted Guhle with the 51st pick.

Analysis: Guhle turns 18 on Wednesday and spent the past two seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League. Last year, he had five goals and ranked third among team defensemen with 32 points in 72 games. Overall, he has five goals and 37 points in 123 career junior games.

The Predators have signed Wilson to a four-year contract worth $15.75 million.

Analysis: Under terms of the agreement announced Monday, Wilson receives $3.75 million in 2015-16 and $4 million each of the next three seasons. Wilson was a restricted free agent. The 25-year-old Wilson set career highs in goals (20) and points (42) and tied a personal best in assists (22) in 2014-15. His plus-minus rating of plus-19 led the Predators.

The Rangers have signed Stepan to a long-term contract. General manager Jeff Gorton announced the deal Monday, hours before a contract arbitration hearing for the 25-year-old Stepan.

Analysis: A restricted free agent, Stepan had 16 goals and 39 assists in 68 games as the Rangers posted the NHL's best regular-season record. He also had five goals and seven assists in 19 postseason games, tallying the game-winning goal in overtime in Game 7 against Washington in the Eastern Conference semifinal.

Chiasson of the Ottawa Senators has been awarded a $1.2 million, one-year deal in arbitration on Sunday.

Analysis: The restricted free-agent forward and the Senators went to arbitration. Chiasson was seeking more than $2 million, the team $1 million.

The New Jersey Devils have re-signed Larsson to a six-year contract at an average annual salary of more than $4.1 million. General Manager Ray Shero announced the signing Saturday.

Analysis: Larsson led all New Jersey defensemen in assists (21) and points (24) while playing in 64 games last season. His scoring totals were all career highs.

The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to a $1.8 million, two-year contract with Jurco.

Analysis: The 22-year-old Jurco played 63 games with the Red Wings in 2014-15, scoring three goals with 15 assists. He also had a goal and an assist in Detroit's seven-game loss to Tampa Bay in the first round of the playoffs. Jurco was a second-round draft pick by the Red Wings in 2011. He made his NHL debut in 2013-14, scoring eight goals with seven assists in 36 games.

The Nashville Predators have signed Dougherty to a three-year entry-level contract with the second-round pick in the 2014 draft expected to spend this season in the Western Hockey League.

Analysis: Dougherty, 19, spent the last season in college at Wisconsin where the freshman had nine points overall, including four points on the power play. The native of St. Paul, Minnesota, spent the 2013-14 season with the U.S. National Team Development Program where he was second among defensemen with six goals and fourth with 22 points.

The Washington Capitals have signed Holtby to a $30.5-million, five-year contract. Holtby was a restricted free agent, and he and the Capitals had an arbitration hearing a day earlier.

Analysis: Holtby had a career season with 41 victories, a 2.22 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and nine shutouts in 73 games. He is the third goaltender to reach 100 wins with the Capitals, joining Olie Kolzig and Don Beaupre.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Alexander Semin to a one-year, $1.1 million contract. The forward who once scored 40 goals with Washington has spent the last three seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Analysis: Semin had six goals and 13 assists in 57 games last year. The Hurricanes bought out his contract on July 1. Carolina owes the 31-year-old Russian $14 million over the next six years. He had three years left on a deal that paid him $7 million annually.

The Coyotes have signed Bunting to a three-year, entry-level contract. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed Thursday.

Analysis: The 19-year-old Bunting, a fourth-round pick in 2014, had 37 goals and 37 assists with a plus-44 rating in 57 regular-season games last season for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League. He also had nine goals and five assists in 14 playoff games.
7/23/2015 Jerry D'Amigo, Buf, RW
The Sabres have re-signed D'Amigo to a one-year contract. The deal is structured so that D'Amigo can play at either the NHL or minor-league level, the Sabres announced Thursday. The team had retained the player's rights by tendering him a qualifying offer last month.

Analysis: D'Amigo was acquired by Buffalo in a trade that sent forward Luke Adam to Columbus in December 2014. D'Amigo was called up from the minors in March, and had no points in nine games with the Sabres. Overall, he has a goal and three assists in 31 career NHL games since being selected in the sixth round of the 2009 draft by Toronto.
7/22/2015 Josh Manson, Anh, D
Manson and the Anaheim Ducks have agreed to a two-year, $1.65 million contract extension through the 2017-18 season. The Ducks announced the deal Wednesday.

Analysis: Manson will get $825,000 each season of the extension, which is a one-way deal. He made his NHL debut and played 28 games for the Ducks last year, collecting three assists. The Northeastern product was a sixth-round pick by Anaheim in 2011.
