Our Mission

We're building an Open Science platform to bring the world's research online, available to all, for free. With over 24,012,861 registered users and growing at 10% per month, Academia.edu is rapidly transforming the way researchers share their work. We're a small team of 20 people passionate about building great software to open up science. I'm one of the top technical recruiters in SV. I've joined Academia.edu, an early stage startup, as VP of Talent.

I need a great sourcer to work with me. I'd love to teach/train someone if you're motivated and at the same time willing/capable to deal with adversity and failure.

Honestly, I work in a 4 out of 1000 business. Sometimes, it gets to 7 out of 1000; but rarely higher. If finding candidates who are 3 sigma (3- standard deviations) excites you, then give me a call and tell me why.
