/ˈimˌpəls/ noun — a sudden strong and unreflective urge or desire to act.

In 2015, Team Impulse was reforged from the former organization LMQ, to create a new team that aims to once again achieve success in not only the North American League of Legends Championship Series, but continue onward toward the ultimate goal of the World Championship. Impulse stays true to the core of the former LMQ. Even though the players that represented us are gone, we still embody their play style. LMQ’s former play style was fierce, reckless and impulsive. Our new brand will continue to enshrine the 2013 team while also forging a new direction for the organization. Over the past year we’ve met some amazing people: our wonderful fans, our immensely talented and respectful competition, our exceptional volunteers and the admirable people at Riot Games. Through practice, patience and hard work we will align Team Impulse with other endemic brands (like Azubu) to create successful partnerships. We will always focus on what is best for the players, our fans and the brand. Stay tuned for our the future of TiP!

2015 TEAM IMPULSE

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

TIP IMPACT — TOP

The newest member of our young team is none other than Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong. Previously, he was the top laner for the World Champion SK Telecom T1, and played along the likes of Faker, Piglet, and bengi. The wealth of legitimacy and experience this brings to TiP can not be understated. He’s versatile, knowledgeable, and ready to show NA how to play top lane.

TIP RUSH — JUNGLE

Rush received Rank 1 on the Korean ladder in 2014. That should be enough to bring on any player to any roster. On top of that achievement, Rush also earned that rank by beating our Nagne, Deft, and even Faker. Watch for him to make big plays on Lee Sin and Kha’Zix, which works well with Team Impulse’s motto - play fierce, play reckless, play impulsive.

TIP XIAOWEIXIAO — MID

XiaoWeiXiao is famous for his performance in the 2014 Summer LCS Summer split as a dominant mid laner, but he has a rich history in the LPL with Royal Club Tian Ci. While there, he was instrumental in helping his team take a 6th place finish out of 26 teams. He then clawed his way out of Challenger with a new squad in the United States to secure a spot in the LCS, where he remains today with Team Impulse.

TIP ADRIAN — SUPPORT

Adrian may not be as known now, but he was one of the first collegiate esports players to receive an athletic scholarship to play the game at Robert Morris University. You can watch all about that here. He’s one of the brightest talents in the NA scene, being picked up only one month after joining Robert Morris. He’s so good, his play couldn’t be contained on one account; he had seven accounts in Challenger in 2014.

TIP APOLLO — ADC

Apollo, formerly WizFujiiN, is a classic name in League of Legends, with roots going back to Team Summon and Team Coast. His Lucian and Varus play was lauded as top-notch during his LCS run, and he kept his skills sharp by playing with GamestarGear and Team LoLPro. His skill and dedication has earned him the right to be the AD Carry for Team Impulse.
