The Arizona Coyotes announced Saturday that they signed Domingue to a one-year deal.

Analysis: Dominigue made seven appearances in 2014-15 for the Coyotes and went 1-2-1 with a 2.73 goals-against average. Arizona selected him in the fifth round in the 2010 draft.

Vasilevskiy could miss up to three months after surgery Thursday to remove a blood clot near his collarbone.

Analysis: Tampa Bay Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman said Friday that the 21-year-old Russian was treated for a type of Vascular Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and is expected to make a full recovery. Vasilevskiy went 7-5-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average in 16 regular season appearances for the Eastern Conference champions in 2014-15. The backup to starter Ben Bishop also appeared in four playoff games, including a start in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Los Angeles Kings' Slava Voynov has been taken into custody by U.S. immigration officials, two months after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge.

Analysis: The Los Angeles Times reports the Russian citizen faces possible deportation. He is being held without bail pending a hearing before an immigration judge. The 25-year-old defenseman was arrested at his Redondo Beach home in October after an argument with his wife. Police say he choked and kicked her.

The Arizona Coyotes signed Merkley to a three-year, entry-level contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed Thursday.

Analysis: The 18-year-old forward, selected 30th in the June draft, had 20 goals in 70 regular-season games last season for Kelowna in the Western Hockey League. He also had five goals and 22 assists in 19 playoff games to help the Rockets win the league title. Merkley tallied three goals and two assists in the Memorial Cup.

Nordstrom and the Blackhawks have agreed to terms on a one-year contract.

Analysis: The restricted free agent has just one goal and five assists in 54 career NHL games.

Salvador has announced his retirement after 14 NHL seasons.

Analysis: Injuries limited the New Jersey Devils captain to 15 games this past season. Salvador played in 786 regular season games and 74 postseason contests with New Jersey and St. Louis and served as the Devils' captain since 2013.

The St. Louis Blues have invited Upshall to training camp for a tryout.

Analysis: Upshall is a 12-year veteran with previous stints in Columbus, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Nashville. He was the sixth overall pick in 2002 by the Predators and has 234 points in 553 career games.

Staal and Cam Ward aren't worrying now about their uncertain futures with the Carolina Hurricanes. Both players said Tuesday that they're keeping their focus on the things they can control on the ice.

Analysis: Staal will make $9.5 million in the last year of a seven-year deal he signed in September 2008.

Analysis: The Hurricanes will pay Ward $6.8 million in 2015-16 in the final year of the six-year contract he signed a year later.

Carolina has agreed to a two-year deal with Lindholm. The contract will pay the 20-year-old forward and former first-round pick $2.5 million in 2016-17 and $2.9 million in 2017-18.

Analysis: Lindholm had 17 goals and 22 assists in 81 games last season. He has played 139 games for the Hurricanes since being taken fifth overall in 2013.

The St. Louis Blues have invited Gomez to training camp.

Analysis: The 15-year veteran had 34 points (seven goals, 27 assists) in 2014-15 for New Jersey.

Berglund is expected to miss at least four months after having surgery on his right shoulder.

Analysis: The St. Louis Blues forward was hurt while training for this season. He dislocated his right shoulder during the 2013-14 campaign. Berglund had 12 goals and 15 assists in 77 games last season.

The Royal Mounted Police say Richards was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance. He will have to appear in court Sept. 10.

Analysis: Richards is currently a free agent after the Los Angeles Kings terminated his contract June 29. The NHL Players' Association has filed a grievance on his behalf, but a hearing date hasn't been scheduled.

The Calgary Flames have signed Giordano to a six-year contract. The Flames captain, an All-Star last season, had 11 goals and 37 assists in 61 games last season before sustaining a season ending injury on Feb. 25.

Analysis: Before his injury, Giordano led an improved Flames defense that helped the team make the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Giordano has 66 goals and 179 assists in 510 games, all with Calgary.
8/23/2015 Christian Ehrhoff, Pit, D
Ehrhoff has agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings. The team confirmed the signing Sunday but did not disclose financial terms.

Analysis: Ehrhoff scored 14 points in 49 games for Pittsburgh last season before missing the final 33 games and the postseason due to injuries, including a concussion. The 33-year-old German is an 11-year NHL veteran who also played for San Jose, Vancouver and Buffalo. He has 327 points in 741 career games. He will be a welcome addition to Kings' depleted defense after Robyn Regehr retired and Andrej Sekera signed with Edmonton earlier this summer.
