The Victorian Government has committed to position our state as a leader in climate change action. The independent review of the Climate Change Act 2010 (the Act) is one of the first steps to achieve this goal.

The Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water has issued the Terms of Reference for the independent review and appointed an Independent Review Committee to undertake the review. DELWP is supporting the independent review.

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducts electoral representation reviews in three groups, every four years.

The Minister for Local Government has given notice that a review of 26 specific municipalities must be completed before 22 April 2016.

Review of the first group of municipalities commences 4 February 2015, with other groups commencing at various times until 3 February 2016.

The Victorian Government is developing a strategy to increase the public value of the creative industries to Victoria – culturally, socially and economically.

All Victorians – whatever their connection to the creative industries – are invited to participate in the development of the strategy via the website or by attending a public workshop.

The Government has released a Discussion Paper, 'The Right to Know', which outlines how the proposed changes will work in practice.

It details how donor-conceived people will be able to apply for information, how contact preferences will apply, and how donors and donor-conceived people will be supported through this process.

The Government is calling for submissions on this Discussion Paper.

A draft management statement for Lake Burrumbeet, identifying the uses, values, issues and management actions, has been released for public comment.

The draft management statement is available for review, for 30 days from 15 June to 15 July 2015.
