John J. DeGioia, Ph.D.
President

Christopher Augostini
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Augostini is responsible for the overall leadership, management and organization of the university’s administrative affairs. This includes overseeing university facilities and student housing, human resources, faculty and staff benefits, university information services, auxiliary services, internal audit and risk management. He also supervises the Office of Financial Affairs and the Investments Office.

Thomas Banchoff, Ph.D.
Vice President for Global Engagement

Banchoff works with the senior leadership, faculty and administrators to strengthen Georgetown University's global partnerships and initiatives, to explore new opportunities, and to support the international dimension of teaching, research, and outreach activities. Banchoff also serves as the founding director of Georgetown's Berkley Center of Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and is a professor in the Department of Government and Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Lisa Brown, J.D.
Vice President and General Counsel

Lisa joined the University in March 2013. As Vice President and General Counsel, Lisa provides general legal counsel to the President, the University's governing boards, and its senior academic and administrative officers; advises on the legal implications of University policy and decision-making; and manages the team of lawyers and administrative professionals who serve in the Office of University Counsel. Prior to joining Georgetown, Lisa served in the Administration of President Obama, first as Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary in the White House, and then as Acting Chief Performance Officer at the Office of Management and Budget.

Spiros Dimolitsas, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President for Research and Chief Technology Officer

Dimolitsas collaborates with leaders across the university to promote research, explore new external research partnerships and secure investments in university-based programs. He oversees the Office of Technology Commercialization.

Robert M. Groves, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President of the Main Campus and Provost

Groves is the chief academic and administrative officer for the Main Campus. He was appointed director of the U.S. Census Bureau by President Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2009 and previously served as a professor at the University of Michigan and director of its Survey Research Center.

Executive Vice President for Health Sciences and Executive Dean of the School of Medicine

Rosemary Kilkenny, J.D.
Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Equity

Kilkenny leads efforts to create an inclusive academic and work environment at Georgetown. IDEAA also works to promote understanding and appreciation among the diverse members of the university community to create equality in educational, employment and contracting opportunities.

R. Bartley Moore
Vice President for Advancement

Moore oversees the offices of alumni relations, advancement services, development, Medical Center development and Law Center development. This includes leading strategic initiatives to support the university's capital campaign and fundraising efforts.

Rev. Kevin O'Brien, S.J.
Vice President for Mission and Ministry

O'Brien, who oversees the Office of Mission and Ministry, is committed to promoting the Catholic and Jesuit identity of the university and the values we espouse. O’Brien oversees work to implement a variety of mission-focused programs which promote the Catholic and Jesuit character of Georgetown with faculty, staff, students and alumni. In the Jesuit tradition, the Office of Mission and Ministry is also dedicated to advancing inter-religious understanding in our community. 

Todd A. Olson, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students

 Dr. Todd Olson is Georgetown’s vice president for student affairs and dean of students, and leads the effort to provide programs and services to support Georgetown students and enrich their learning experience. He came to Georgetown in 2002, having previously spent 16 years at the University of Denver.

Erik Smulson
Vice President for Public Affairs and Senior Advisor to the President

Smulson oversees the offices of communications, external relations, federal relations and protocol and events. He also oversees university safety, including areas such as public safety, environmental management and emergency management.

William Treanor, J.D., Ph.D.
Executive Vice President and Dean of the Law Center

Treanor, who is also university executive vice president for Law Center affairs, is the chief academic and administrative officer of the Law Center. He provides leadership and management of the Law Center’s academic and research programs and supervises the daily operations of its professional staff. The Law Center is pre-eminent in several areas, including constitutional, international, tax and clinical law, and the full-time faculty is one of the largest in the nation. Drawing on the University’s Jesuit heritage, it has a strong tradition of public service and is dedicated to the principle that law is but a means, justice is the end.  Located at the foot of Capitol Hill in the heart of the nation’s capital, it offers unparalleled access to the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Department of Justice and the D.C. Courts.
