The Cincinnati Art Museum and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco in collaboration with the Foundation for Italian Art & Culture, presents Raphael’s Portrait of Lady with a Unicorn on loan from the Galleria Borghese in Rome. Painted about 1505, this mysterious blond and blue-eyed sitter epitomizes Raphael’s excellence in female portraiture during his Florentine period.

A partnership with the University of Cincinnati's Classics Department, this exciting reinstallation and re-imagination of the ancient world allows visitors to begin their journey through the history of art with the story of ancient Western civilizations with Egyptian, Greek, and Roman objects that are organized thematically for the first time. The installation includes some pieces that have never been on view before.

The first major U.S. museum exhibition devoted to the celebrated German photographer will be on view at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Trained as a biologist, Lempert photographs plants, animals, and other natural phenomena with both scientific acumen and a poetic appreciation of natural beauty.

Now extended through JAN 3, 2016, the exhibition features approximately one hundred Japanese masterpieces from the permanent collection of the Art Museum. The show is designed to provide viewers not only with a better understanding of Japanese art and its aesthetics, but also a unique regional perspective through the history of the collection.

The Rosenthal Education Center (REC) is the new art education space inside the museum. Through dedicated interactive exhibition and studio space the collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum is brought to life for children of all ages. The REC encourages families to discover the Art Museum’s collection in a fun, immersive, hands-on and safe manner through a variety of experiences.
