IMF: Thai Economy to Rebound Strongly in 2012
BANGKOK—The International Monetary Fund expects Thailand's economy to rebound strongly this year, after severe flooding in the country took a toll on growth in 2011, the division chief of the fund's Asia and Pacific department said Friday.
The fund is projecting economic growth for Thailand of 5.5% this year and 7.5% in 2013, Thomas Rumbaugh said at a news briefing after completing a mission to Thailand between Feb. 13 and Feb. 24....
