This site is dedicated to the memory of my mother and grandmother who instilled in me an enduring curiosity about and affinity for studies within the field of Classical History. This collection of ancient coin images was amassed over a period of forty years. Nothing was added without a thought for the richness my mother's and grandmother's appreciation of the Classics brought into my life. This site is very much a work in progress and may take a long time to complete, but it is done in the hope that it is a positive thing to make images of a wide and varied assortment of ancient coins available to students and anyone else who might appreciate the art and workmanship in the pockets and purses of the common man in Classical times. Please note that none of the coins pictured in any of the albums are for sale.
