About Us
South Carolina ETV is the state's public educational broadcasting network with 11 television and eight radio transmitters, and a multi-media educational system in more than 2,500 schools, colleges, businesses and government agencies. Using television, radio and the web, SCETV's mission is to enrich lives by educating children, informing and connecting citizens, celebrating our culture and environment and instilling the joy of learning.

Television
ETV has 11 transmitter towers across the state, each of which broadcast one high definition and two standard definition channels, providing a total of 26,280 hours of educational programs each year:
ETV-HD is our primary channel featuring local and national programs, including everything from "Carolina Stories" and “Palmetto Scene” to "Masterpiece Theatre" and “NOVA.” It also features the bulk of ETV’s daily children’s shows, offered as a safe-haven for parents looking for quality educational programming.
The South Carolina Channel features SC-specific history, arts and nature programming, as well as the CreateTV block of crafts, cooking and home improvement programs.
ETV World brings viewers public affairs programs on local and national issues, and is the home of ETV's State House coverage.

Radio
South Carolina Public Radio has eight radio transmitters across the state that broadcast one of two formats, and provide a total of 17,520 hours of radio programming each year, including local and national programs:
The News Format can be heard on five stations, and presents national programs such as “All Things Considered,” “Morning Edition,” “Talk of the Nation,” “Fresh Air,” and “The Take Away.” Regional programs include “Walter Edgar’s Journal,” “The Big Picture on the Radio,” and “Your Day,” to name a few.

The Classical News Format is heard on three stations and focuses on music programs, such as “Performance Today,” “Echoes” and “Afternoon Classics.” South Carolina Public Radio-produced content includes “Carolina Live,” “Spoleto Chamber Music Series” and “Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz,” a series that has been a mainstay nationally on public radio for 30 years.
