The Syrian Arab Army’s elite 4th Mechanized Division – in coordination with Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF), Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi Paramilitary), and Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions) – conducted a powerful assault on the Islamist rebel positions inside the Aleppo Governorate’s southern countryside, targeting several villages and hilltops near the imperative city of Khan Touman on Friday morning.

Following a successful ground campaign on Thursday, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance continued their success in southern Aleppo by tackling the Islamist rebels of Harakat Nour Al-Deen Al-Zinki, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sham at the villages of Al-‘Amariyah and Tal Mohadiyah; this powerful assault resulted in the capture of the aforementioned villages and the death of over 20 enemy combatants.

The Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance did not stop there: the successful capture of Al-‘Amariyah and Tal Mohadiyah paved the way for the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance to recapture the villages of Al-Huwayz and Al-Qarassi, along with the town of Khalsa after intense firefights with the Islamist rebels.

In addition to their success at the aforementioned sites, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance continued their advance inside the town of Kafr ‘Abid, killing over 15 enemy combatants on Friday, while also destroying a machine gun nest.
