Syria slams Turkey's downing of Russian jet as 'a new crime'

Turkey has shot down a Russian warplane claiming it had violated its airspace. Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned Turkey’s downing of the jet saying it was targeted over Syria. Russia has been pounding the strongholds of Syrian militants including the Daesh terror group that has reportedly been enjoying support from countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
