Deepika Padukone said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to make Bajirao Mastani since a very long time. "The physically challenging scenes in Bajirao Mastani were extremely difficult. Also, there was a lot of weight which was weighing me down. My shoulders hurt terribly," Deepika told NDTV.
A few days before the release of Bajirao Mastani, actor Ranveer Singh shared his favouite song from the film with on Twitter. Titled Aayat, the romantic number is picturized on Ranveer and Deepika.
Ranveer Singh, who has "invested a lot" in Bajirao Mastani, said: "I was flung off from a horse while shooting. There was a lot of chaos going on at that time; there were explosions, horses, elephants and fire on the sets." Ranveer had suffered a shoulder injury while performing his own stunts for the movie.
Commenting on Shiv Sena's objections to certain facts in Bajirao Mastani, Priyanka said: "There is a difference between inspired from history and based on history."
