Centro de Iniciativas Culturales y Estudios Economicos y Sociales (CICEES)

CICEES, the Center for Cultural Initiatives, editor of Abaco, was born in Asturias in 1986 as a non-profit organization that develops the editorial management and activities to study, research, training, promotion and dissemination of culture and social sciences. Its vocation embraces a universal perspective, considering the contrast in their publications, debate, testing and knowledge of experiences in the context of a global world.

From the beginning a wide number of citizens and professionals involved in education, workers and managers of public and private companies, government technicians, as well as students and researchers in social sciences and cultural policies of many countries, participate in the numerous initiatives of the editorial.
The publications are aimed at a general audience, as well as students, professionals and researchers who utilize the publications as a working tool. CICEES activity combines the realization publishing initiatives with courses, workshops, conferences and seminars in order to disseminate and project these subjects
