S. Hirzel Verlag

Publisher Description

S.Hirzel Verlag was founded 1853 by Salomon Hirzel in Leipzig – because of such renowned publications as "Das Deutsche Wörterbuch" (the German Dictionary) by the Brothers Grimm, Hirzel quickly became a household name for scholars of German language and literature. Today's programme still focuses on humanities, particularly German medieval studies, but also on scientific textbooks and non-fiction in the area of philosophy, environment and health.
