The Coptic Alphabet

Learn to read coptic alphabet

This is a short phonological outline of the Coptic alphabet. Unfortunately, the references I came across didn't always agree, and were sometimes confusing (including Wikipedia), so I decided to broaden my research and compile my own list. You'll find a compilation of sounds (phonemes) of Modern Coptic (also known as Greco-Coptic), and older Bohairic Coptic and Sahidic Coptic, in comparison to Classical Greek and Modern Greek.
