The American Journal of Irish Studies (AJIS) is intended to be a forum for discussion on Irish and Irish-American literature, history, arts and culture, and contemporary issues.

Formerly entitled Radharc: A Journal of Irish and Irish-American Studies, The American Journal of Irish Studies was launched in March of 2012 and, like Radharc, it features articles drawn from the public events series at Glucksman Ireland House NYU, including our annual named lectures, the Ernie O’Malley Lecture (on an Irish-American subject), the Irish Institute of New York Lecture (on an Irish subject), and the Barra Ó Donnabháin Lecture (on the Irish language), as well as from special events. American Journal of Irish Studies will be published annually and does not accept unsolicited manuscripts.

Moving Wall

The "moving wall" represents the time period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the most recently published issue of a journal. Moving walls are generally represented in years. In rare instances, a publisher has elected to have a "zero" moving wall, so their current issues are available in JSTOR shortly after publication.
Note: In calculating the moving wall, the current year is not counted.
For example, if the current year is 2008 and a journal has a 5 year moving wall, articles from the year 2002 are available.
