Frank Smith is Director, Books at JSTOR. Prior to joining JSTOR in 2011, Frank worked for over thirty years at Cambridge University Press as editor for history; executive editor; editorial Director (Americas branch); and director of digital publishing (global). Books that Frank acquired for Cambridge won over one hundred prizes, including the Bancroft Prize. Frank managed the development, print and digital, of The Historical Statistics of the United States, Millennial Edition (2006), and he led the team that developed Cambridge's academic ebook platform, Cambridge Books Online.

 

Frank has a bachelor of arts from Grinnell College and a master of arts from the University of Cambridge.
