Real Life Aladdin Filmed Riding 'Magic Carpet' in Israel

Screengrab taken from video posted on Facebook.

It seems Aladdin has left the narrow lanes of Agrabah's bazaar behind and found himself on the streets of Tel Aviv, Israel. Someone thought of a very cool way to bring Disney's version of the popular folktale character to life, thrilling social media.

A video uploaded on Facebook on March 23 shows a man dressed as street urchin Aladdin (before he is transformed into Prince Ali), surfing the streets of Tel Aviv atop a 'magic carpet.' Unsurprisingly, the video has created a stir online.

"Don't know whether you will believe me, but I just saw Aladdin on his carpet on Allenby Street," Aviad Rosenfeld, the person who shot the awesome video, wrote on Facebook in Hebrew.

According to reports, the unidentified man put on the special costume, complete with the purple jacket, white pants with patch and red fez that the animated character wore in the 1992 Disney blockbuster, to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim. In the video, 'Aladdin' rides some form of a motorized carpet, controlled by a small remote in his hand.

The comments on the post show how impressed people were with the man's commitment to the character. All that seems missing is Abu and the magic lamp.
