The eldest trump daughter says her father hires all backgrounds, looking for the best talent there is for the job.
CLEVELAND — Donald Trump may be running for president this year, but there are already signs being waved at the Republican convention for another Trump run: Ivanka Trump 2024.
On Thursday night, Trump’s oldest daughter will take the stage and introduce her father before he officially accepts his party’s nomination.
She’s been one of her father’s most effective surrogates in public and is known as one of the few people he really listens to in private. But who exactly is she?
Coulda been veep?
As names swirled around about who her dad should pick to be his No. 2, Sen. Bob Corker took himself out of the running and suggested Trump’s daughter instead.
"His best running mate, by the way, would be Ivanka. I know that wouldn't pass muster, probably. But I don't know that I've met a more composed, brilliant, beautiful-in-every-way person," Corker said.
Her brother agreed.
“She’s got the beautiful looks. She’s smart, she’s smart, smart, smart. Yeah, she’s certainly got my vote,” Eric Trump said.
She converted to Judiasm
Ivanka Trump converted to Judiasm for her husband, Jared Kushner, and the family keeps kosher and observes Sabbath.
“Yeah, we observe the Sabbath,” she told Vogue. “From Friday to Saturday we don’t do anything but hang out with one another. We don’t make phone calls.”
The life guru
Ivankatrump.com is a website aimed entirely at helping women navigate their way through life. On Thursday, the website’s homepage had articles titled: “8 Ways to Make Your Rental Feel Like Home,” “5 Tips for Negotiating Flexible Hours,” “Weekly Clicks: Traveling for Work,” “7 Tips for Entrepreneurial Expats” and “11 Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore.”
The fashionista
Trump has her own clothing collection available at major department stores. She covers all the bases — clothes, shoes, eyewear, handbags, kids' shoes and fine jewelry.
Part of the business
Trump, like her brothers, is a vice president of development and acquisitions of the Trump Organization. According to her biography on The Trump Organization’s website, she “actively participates in all aspects of both Trump and Trump branded projects.”
