Dust off your wizard hats and wands. There's a new Harry Potter story and we're celebrating with a midnight release party on July 30.

In Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, written in the form of a stage play script, Harry is all grown up. An overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic and father of school-age children, he still grappling with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs.

The book officially goes on sale Sunday, July 31, but The Bookstore will offer pre-release services so you can purchase the book in advance and pick it up right after the stroke of midnight. We're taking pre-order reservations in the store, via email or by phone at 630-469-2891.

You can purchase the book at The Bookstore on July 30 beginning at 10 p.m. and stay for the festivities until midnight. We'll have prizes for costumed Potter fans, a trivia challenge capable of stumping Harry himself, and treats worthy of the Hogwarts Express Trolley. We will be partnering with other downtown businesses and restaurants, so stay tuned to our website for details.
