Lincoln Park Zoo is a great destination for Pokemon Go. We have 59 Pokestops and two gyms alongside free entry, beautiful gardens and amazing wildlife from around the globe.
If you’re planning to join us to look for Pokemon, we do have a few requests
- Please stay on the paths
- We recommend taking public transit if possible
- Have fun!
- Be sure to take a break to visit some of the zoo’s animals and learn about our global conservation programs, such as the Serengeti Health Initiative, which leads a vaccination campaign to protect people, pets and predators in this amazing African ecosystem.
A quick note regarding the Pokestops: four (LPZ - Polar Bear, Bank of America Savanna Plaza, LPZ - Sun Bear and Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool) are in the construction zone for the Robert and Mayari Pritzker Penguin Cove and Walter Family Arctic Tundra and are not accessible. We have reported these stops, but they have not yet been removed. Please do not attempt to visit them
Similarly, the Ellen Freedman Garden Memorial near Regenstein Center for African Apes is mislabeled and appears within the Pokemon Go app in a restricted area. For your safety and the safety of our animals, we ask you to avoid this Pokestop as well. We have reported it to Niantic.
