Denison University Vail Series "Documerica" by ETHEL

EHTEL, Denison's own ensemble-in-residence, performs their incredible signature piece "Documerica", a landmark visual and musical snapshot of America in the tumultuous 1970's. This multimedia performance interweaves over 3,000 vintage photographs from the National Archive and explores a range of American styles, genres and techniques, with original music by some of today's top composers, including jazz, Native American, traditional, bluegrass and old-time string band - filtered though a distinctly 21st-century lens.
